A Few Local Tours to Consider

Folly River to Bird Key

Paddling the Folly River
Join us at the Folly Landing for a fun and relaxing trip on the Folly River to Bird Key. We'll stop on a neighboring sandbar as Bird Key is a protected seabird nesting preserve. This is a great beginner trip – and a great trip for nature lovers.  We usually see dolphins playing or feeding along the beach.

Stono River to Kiawah

Dolphin on the Stono photo
We’ll launch from the Sol Legare Landing (Battery Island Rd) and paddle down the Stono River to land on Kiawah. This paddle takes us along undeveloped salt marsh, to sandy beach and a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Sea birds, dolphin and beachcombing add to this trip's appeal.

Morris Island Lighthouse

Ever wanted to kayak to the Morris Island Lighthouse? This is your chance.  We’ll launch at the Folly landing and follow the Folly River to Lighthouse Creek.  We’ll spend some time on the Island before riding the tide back home.

Cherry Point Landing (Wadmalaw) to Deveaux Bank

Nesting terns at Deveaux Bank
Seabird nesting colonies on Deveaux Bank are protected, so access to the island is limited. Paddling to the access provides lovely views of the barrier island habitat.

After Work Folly River

Evening paddle on the Folly River
Oak Creek – around Oak Island: Relaxed Oak Island circumnavigation. A gentle paddle on the Folly River. A very nice way to spend the evening, and a great trip for beginning paddlers.

Advanced Beginner Trip – Capers Island

Paddlers depart for Capers Island
Garris Landing – to Capers Island. Start out in the Inter-coastal waterway and make a crossing through salt marsh and channels to one of South Carolina's unspoiled barrier islands.

Intermediate Trip: Folly Island Semi-circumnavigation

Through the marsh and around the ocean side!
Note: paddlers must be willing and able to verify their paddling skill level before booking this trip.
