One  of Lendal’s innovations is the ability to combine their sea blades with a variety of shaft options for a truly custom fit. The following blade/shaft designs are currently available at Sea kayak Carolina.

SEA BLADES —
Asymmetric: Easy-to-use shapes with characteristic Lendal efficiency.

Contact area is distributed evenly across the length of the face, giving paddle a relatively soft catch in the water. Well suited for recreational paddling by those who do not train in a kayak. Also popular for expedition work — soft catch saves wear and tear on muscles when paddling a heavily loaded boat.

Kinetik: Superior response for high-performance paddling.
These are originally derived from medal-winning whitewater slalom designs. Tip-heavy design produces very strong catch, delivering powerful acceleration and control strokes without tiring excess area. They are ideal for high-performance touring, ocean play, racing and shorter expeditions.

SHAFT OPTIONS —
Straight.

The standard for hundreds of years, the Classic Straight shaft allows paddlers the ability to easily slide hands off-center to vary leverage, thus increasing power and control during inclement conditions. While the Classic Straight design does indeed increase versatility and range of motion, it also applies more force to arms and wrists. We recommend these shafts to the most seasoned paddlers.

Modified Crank.
Innovative design that takes the bent shaft idea a step further, adding a stabilizing effect that not only minimizes sideways bending on the wrist, but allows for the lowest possible grip force, provide the greatest possible deterrence against repetitive strain injuries. Very useful for any paddler suffering wrist pain. Allows blade to automatically register its ideal angle of attack, getting maximum efficiency from every stroke. This is of particular benefit after hours of hard paddling, when the Modified Crank allows you make strokes that, though shortened due to fatigue, are still efficient, making the most of your remaining energy.

Kinetik Touring 600
Lendal Kinetic 600 paddle bladeThe smallest surface area of the Kinetic touring series enables the paddler to increase their stroke rate whilst retaining Lendal's trademark efficiency. Ideally suited to woman or smaller paddlers, the Kinetic Touring XS is great for expeditions, touring or even a gentle paddle close to shore.
