Sunday, October 5 - Sea Kayak Carolina's staff of ACA Open Water Coastal Kayak instructors will be leading the "lake and lock trip" as part of the Berkeley Blueways Paddlefest. Sea kayak and all equipment for only $25! Call us at (843) 225-7969 to register today - space is limited!
Saturday, October 11 - Join us for the first annual Lowcountry Paddlers Kayak and Gear Swap Meet. Everyone is invited to join the Lowcountry Paddlers for a kayak and gear swap meet. The swap meet will be hosted by Sea Kayak Carolina on James Island from 10 a.m. thru 4 p.m. Free food, drink and music! Tape an envelope with your name and price to the items that you want to sell. Socialize and swap sea stories while making big bucks from your used kayaks and gear. Call (843) 225-7969 for more information.

Sunday, October 19 – Introduction to Kayaking. This is a crash course in kayaking – you’ll learn how to be safe and have fun as you begin to kayak. Topics include: safety, boat fit, getting in and out of your kayak (gracefully), basic paddle strokes, wet exit – $50.
Saturday, October 25 – Introduction to Sea Kayak Surfing. Join us for an introduction to handling your sea kayak in the surf. We’ll cover launching, landing, and, of course, bracing (your best friend in the surf). 4 hours – $60.
Sunday, October 26 – Strokes and Maneuvers - learn to turn! And go straight, and stop, and move sideways, and more! $50
October 31 thru November 2 - ACA National Instructor Conference in Fredericksburg, Virginia. http://www.acanet.org for more details.

November 7 thru November 10 - ACA Level 3 (Basic) Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) and Instructor Certification Exam (ICE). Hosted by Florida Bay Outfitters, this IDW/ICE will be led by Karen Knight and Bob Foote, assisted by Scott Szczepaniak. Contact Florida Bay Outfitters to register or for more information.
