Before relocating to Washington, DC in the Summer of 2007, Tom spent nearly 15 years kayaking in Charleston, SC – during the last five he operated a successful sea kayak training and tour company from his home on Folly Beach.
Today he is Sea Kayak Program Director at Potomac Paddle Sports. You can also learn more about him from his personal website.
Tom's paddling CV is extensive — BCU Coach Level 3 Sea/Assessor, ACA Open Water Instructor Trainer Educator, BCU 4-star, ACA Advanced Open Water Instructor, and an expedition paddler who has kayaked waters around Wales and Alasksa, as well as up and down the East Coast... so whether you're just getting started yourself, or if you're working toward you own instructor certification or assessment, his confident coaching can help you reach your next goal.
